KEY POSITION INFORMATION
 
Job Title: Economic Empowerment Facilitator
Contract Period: One year with 3 months’ probation period
Department: Migration and Anti-trafficking Programme
Location: Lezha or Shkodra
 
WORK CONTEXT / BACKGROUND
 
As part of the Project Management team of the GIZ funded project “Supporting families, children and youth exposed to migration in Lezha and Shkodra”, implemented by Terre des hommes in Albania, the Economic empowerment facilitator is in charge of ensuring quality and timely implementation of all activities related to economic empowerment of vulnerable families and youth as planned in project area, in collaboration with the other team members and partners.
 
PURPOSE OF POSITION
 
The Economic Empowerment Facilitator is responsible to facilitate, implement and coordinate the process of economic empowerment component in project area under the supervision of MFCC Local Coordinator. He/she will contribute to the quality project delivery in line with the strategic directions of Terre des hommes Mission in Albania under the technical guidance provided from the Economic Empowerment Coordinator.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Implementation
  • Proactively identify potential beneficiaries for economic empowerment in collaboration with local stakeholders as per criteria defined in the Tdh IGA framework
  • Conduct the assessment process of potential beneficiaries through interviews of families
  • Prepare and maintain the relevant documents per each case
  • Coordinate and monitor the realization of the entrepreneurship course and the individual coaching of beneficiaries
  • Support the families on the process of establishment of the businesses
  • Regularly monitor the beneficiaries considering cultural sensitivity and the social situation of the family
Administration
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to the job function in compliance with the financial and administrative procedures.
  • Prepare and keep track of activity operational plans and report on progress achieved to the direct supervisors.
POSITION INFO
  • Part time position, 32 hours / week
  • Tentative staring date: 25th of October 2017
CRITERIA FOR APPLYING
  • University degree in Economics or Social Work is required
  • At least 2 years of working experience in startups development or social business
  • Very strong planning and organizing skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direction from others as necessary
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Good communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Flexible world view and emotional maturity
  • Computer skills
  • English preferable
